Black Elk German Rye

Black Elk is a German Rye Whisky.  The soul of this Whisky is our cherry wood smoked German BlackForest Rye.

Elk are native to North America. A type of elk, which was very dark in color, lived in the Black Hills of South Dakota until the late 1800s, when these “Black Elk” were hunted to extinction.  Today, a mounted Black Elk hangs in the lobby of Sylvan Lake Lodge (a historic mountain guest lodge nestled high in the Black Hills of South Dakota).  From the lodge, you can climb Black Elk Peak (7,242 feet), the highest point between the Rockies and the Pyrenees Mountains of Europe.
