American Pronghorn Antelope are indigenous to the Dakotas, including the rolling hills of the Prairie Coteau.  Their horns are Black, with a small Fork at the top. These fleet-footed animals can reach speeds of nearly 60 miles per hour and seemingly vanish in the blink of an eye.  They are known as the “ghosts of the prairie.”
